Argan oil is a plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa), which is native to Morocco. It’s often called "liquid gold" due to its rich golden color and numerous benefits. The oil is extracted by pressing the kernels, a process traditionally done by hand, though modern methods use machines for efficiency.

Argan oil is packed with nutrients like fatty acids (oleic and linoleic), vitamin E, and antioxidants, making it a powerhouse for both cosmetic and culinary uses. In skincare and haircare, argan oil is prized for its moisturizing, anti-aging, and nourishing properties—think hydration for dry skin, taming frizzy hair, or even soothing inflammation. Argan Oil's s rarity adds to its allure - argan trees grow in a limited region, mostly in southwestern Morocco, and the production process is labor-intensive. UNESCO even designated the argan tree area as a biosphere reserve. You’ll find two main types: cosmetic-grade (usually cold-pressed and unroasted) and culinary-grade (from roasted kernels).
