Cacay oil is a nutrient-rich oil extracted from the nuts of the cacay tree (Caryodendron orinocense), a species native to the Amazon rainforest and parts of northwestern South America, including Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil. The oil is derived through cold-pressing the seeds found within the tree's fruit, which typically contains three edible nuts.
