Mowrah Butter - Wild Harvested Unrefined

Mowrah Butter, also called Mahua Butter, and sometimes referred to as Buttercup due to the shells from the fruit. The Mowrah tree is a deciduous tree found in central India and grows in the wild. Mowrah butter has made its appearance in the cosmetic industry fairly recently, but has been used for centuries by Indians. It is an excellent emollient and is known to increase moisture in the skin, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Mowrah butter helps slow down skin degeneration and helps to protect skin from the damaging UV rays from sun exposure.

Mowrah butter is yellowish in color with a mild odor. Our current lot/batch of Mowrah is extremely soft and melts easily in warmer weather.

• Linoleic (C18:2) - 6.2%
