Discover our Unrefined Green Coffee Oil

Green coffee oil is produced by cold-pressing the unroasted beans, a method that preserves the oil’s natural compounds. The result is a light-to-dark green oil with a crisp, fresh, grassy scent—distinct from the familiar roasted coffee aroma. Green Coffee Oil is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, phytosterols, and a small amount of caffeine (due to trace water mixing with the oil during pressing). Key components include chlorogenic acid (a potent antioxidant), linoleic and oleic acids, and vitamin E, all of which contribute to its therapeutic and cosmetic appeal.

Properties and Benefits:
• Antioxidant Powerhouse: The chlorogenic acid content—higher in green beans than roasted ones—makes it a strong free-radical scavenger, potentially outstripping green tea or vitamin C in potency. This helps protect skin from oxidative damage, UV exposure, and aging.
• Moisturizing and Penetrating: Its fatty acid profile (linoleic, oleic, palmitic) and phytosterols ensure excellent moisture retention and quick absorption, leaving a silky, non-greasy finish.
• Anti-Inflammatory: Caffeine and chlorogenic acid may reduce puffiness (like under-eye bags) and soothe irritated skin, making it useful for conditions like eczema or psoriasis.
• Cellulite Reduction: Enzymes in the oil are believed to break down fat and smooth skin, a trait leveraged in anti-cellulite formulations.
• Hair and Scalp Health: It nourishes dry or damaged hair, boosts circulation to the scalp, and may support hair strength with its nutrient mix.
Uses:
• Skincare: A star in serums, creams, and massage oils for anti-aging, hydration, and cellulite treatment.
• Haircare: Adds shine and conditions brittle hair, often in masks or scalp treatments.
• Aromatherapy: Its subtle, green scent offers an energizing twist, though it’s less aromatic than roasted coffee oil.

Amazon-Specific Context:
In the Amazon, coffee is often grown on a small scale, sometimes using agroforestry methods where plants are integrated with native trees. This contrasts with the large-scale deforestation linked to cattle ranching or soy farming. Projects like the Apuí Coffee Project in Amazonas highlight sustainable cultivation, aiming to restore degraded soils and support local families without harming the ecosystem. The oil from these beans carries the allure of being wild-harvested or organically grown in one of the planet’s most vital regions, often free of pesticides due to traditional practices.
